These 'Mini Fibre Nests' are actually cloud-like balls of hand pulled roving, blended from fine Merino, Silk and Trilobal Fibre in a Sparkle Blend.

A special blend of super-soft and fine Merino Wool, luxurious hand-dyed Silks and sparkling Trilobal Nylon fibres. All skilfully blended on a hackle and carefully hand-pulled through a Diz, creating this lovely, light and open roving which is then rolled into small balls and is ready to be used in your next creative project.

This series of colourways are all inspired by dance music and styles of dance from around the world. This third one in the series is called  'Princess Waltz' because it was inspired by a film that I used to be forced to watch, over and over again, (by my then pre-school daughter), of a 'Fairytale-Princess Ball' and their shimmering satin, pastel dresses of pinks, pale blues, lemons and mint greens. This blend was created as a result of my reminiscing with that little girl who so wanted to be a Princess when she grew up, who is now a teenager and denies all recollection of said film and of having any royal aspirations....!

These amazing little nests are perfect for a variety of textile art projects - Wet and Nuno-Felting, Spinning and Weaving, Embroidery, Needle Felting, Embellishing and many other mixed media arts.

They are blended to order, and so the colours/fibre content may vary slightly but…the basic 'recipe of these fibres' will always be the same. Enjoy each beautifully made batt as a unique work of art and revel in the varied nature of the materials and the inspiration it will add to your creative process.
