SEWING FOR THE TERRIFIED: Learn to sew (x 3 midweek sessions)

Have you always wanted to learn how to sew, but too scared by the thought of it? Maybe you're annoyed that you don't know how to take up a pair of trousers or want to make that trendy skirt that you’ve been eyeing up in the shops?

This course is designed to teach the basics of how to set up, thread and use a sewing machine. It will teach you all of the necessary skills to build your confidence and lead on to making various small projects to take home.

3 x Monday Evenings - 19:00 - 21:00

22nd Sept / 29th Sept / 6th Oct

20th Oct / 27th Oct / 3rd Nov

17th Nov / 24th Nov / 1st Dec

Learn a different stitch or technique each week to turn into a sampler quilt, handy storage pouches and/or cushion! These beginner classes wI’ll then progress on to basic pattern reading and garment construction, such as making a simple skirt or a gorgeous pair of PJ’s.

Come on your own or bring your Mum/Dad/Partner with you, (or child - 8yrs upwards) and learn side by side. These are family based, life skills for adults, boys & girls - you will all enjoy and benefit from this class.

EXTRA INFORMATION 
Bring your own serviced sewing machine.  Or you can hire one for an additional £5 per session. Please book here to reserve a machine as we have limited numbers 

Sadly there will not be time to work out why your own sewing machine isn't working, so please try to ensure it's in full working order beforehand.
